4/7/10: Just listed some dates on the tour page for upcoming shows in the area. We are looking forward to playing the film action benefit here in Portland as we will be playing a couple songs off the soundtrack to Donnie Darko, 80's style. We have Dave Jorgensen joining us as well as Josh Vasby. Speaking of Josh Vasby he is now officially back part of System and Station which is exciting for all of us. He will be on 2nd guitar, keys, vocals and all the other stuff you can't do when you are a three piece. His first official show back will be either May 1st or the tour in June. I will keep this thing posted though. Alright don't fiddle with yourself too much, meaning no more then 20 times a day. make it stink

1/21/10: How are you eh? Swell but not swollen? Happy not sad? Hopeful not hopeless? I hope so. We are getting ready to play some shows around here. Seattle, Bremerton, Spokane, La Grande and Portland to be exact, all of the dates are listed on the tours page for the what, when and how. We will be playing a bunch of new tunes from our upcoming full length that have never been played out before so it should be exciting, scary and thoroughly entertaining. Per usual if you plan on coming out to any of the shows and would like to hear anything specific please feel free to email us with your request and we will figure that business out. love s+s

11/18/09:we are back from the road as of nowand although happy to be home we do miss all our people out there. I have been trying to make any excuse I can to jump back in the van oddly enough. when you travel at 75 miles an hour eight hours everyday for a month when you stop moving it can make you a little crazy! we would like to say thank you so much for all of the kindness we received on our journeys. you are all bad asses. A special thanks to our boys- Crane, Nelson, Fanelli, Julie and Family, Zakk, Lindy and the SF crew, engine orchestra, The Fairfields and The Heise's. We had a monster of a good time. Now is the part I hate- We are going to be on the lamb for the next little bit. We have to book the shows to play and have a ton of work to do for the next full length out next year. In the meantime you can purchase the new ep "I'm Here To Kill" out now at your local record store on Vinyl or available for Download at your online retailers. So far we have been getting great reviews and we were on Pamplemoose top 20 of the week at #2- we beat out Thom yorke- had to happen eventually buddy! Ha!- that is funny. Anyhow thanks again and per usual we could use your help. Get the word out tell your friends! Love

7/1/09: Been quite some time and I am sorry for the lack of contact but we have been busy recording. We have just finished the mastering for our forth coming EP "I'm Here to Kill" out in October on Latest Flame Records. We are excited about the record and we had all kinds of guests on this one including- Beth Venable (Sad Horse), Doug Jenkins (Portland Cello Project) and Scott Hampton (Hamptone,, DLRP). Larry Crane did an excellent job once again as well as Carl Saff at Saff mastering it does sound choice. This is record #9 for System and Station- 11 years and counting, F ing unbelievable really. This one will be on Vinyl and download only so get your turn tables out and your rock boots on. We now are getting ready to head back into the studio in August to record the next full length. We have had all kinds of material rolling so we thought we would roll with it as well. The full length has no scheduled release date and will be in the works for a bit so it won't be out until spring/summer 2010. 2010 and tenth record seems proper. Um what else, In the twilight has been doing pretty well and gettting some nice press so that's good stuff. We are playing NorthwestMusicFest this year so when we know where and when you will to. Ok then take care-

4/19/09: So my finger is all healed up minus the sweet scar I was left with- character indeed! We are back at work now getting ready to head into Jackpot! with Larry in June to record an ep that will be available sometime in the fall. At this point it looks like it will be Vinyl and download only. We are jazzed up on the songs and feel it will be a proper listening experience for you and yours, uh huh I said it- we like them apples. 3/24/09: I chopped my finger up something fearce. I went out to take care of the recycling and as I was sorting everything out you know: plastics, glass, aluminum and what not. Anyhow a tin can lid sliced through my left index finger through the muscle and near the bone. I had to go to the doctor and he had to sew me up. That being said I am out of comission for about two weeks and well we had a show scheduled for this Saturday night at Kelly's Olympian. At this point I don't see it happening so unless we get a sudden miraculous healing we are gonna have to cancel unfortunately. We will be playing again in May so stay tuned. In the meantime we are hard at work on the next record and I would say so far so good. Also, DON'T FORGET!!!! Our 2005 release "In the Twilight" is being re-released on April 28th!!!! You can place a pre order with Latest Flame records at

Wanted to say hey and also thanks to a couple Portland zines, particularly the Mercury and Willamette Week (Casey Jarman) for writing about us this past week for our up and coming CD release this coming Wednesday (August 20th) at the Doug Fir. We are still getting ready for the road, rehearsing and trying to get some sleep here and there. I bought a new stereo for the van, which I am stoked about. It has an auxiliary input for an I pod on it (yes this means I have finally come into the 21st century), which is great. That means less cd’s taking up space and giving us more room for palates and cotton pickers/ jumping Jim’s or Jack’s or whatever the F you call them. New T-shirts will be in shortly so if you are naked and in need of clothing (i.e. T shirts) when we see you we will have them. We may also have bread and water but that is TBD. A shout and congrats to Larry Crane on his second Tape Op book being out. He just had a book reading here in town at Powell’s, which we went to in between rehearsal. He did a great job but he wouldn’t answer my question which was how do you record a Trombone if it is Rusty? Or moreover how do you record a Rusty Trombone? I guess we will never fully know. So that’s all I am going to say besides- come to the Doug Fir this Wednesday and we will give you back the rock- not fake rock- the real deal. Here are said articles and a couple more. love

8/08/08: Well here we are coming up on the CD Release- still. We are celebrating on Wed. August 20th at the Doug Fir Lounge here in Portland. Ley Lines and Prize Country will be opening the night and we go on around 10:50. The new record "A Nation of Actors" will be available as well as new T shirts and free posters for the album. The first 10 people who purchase the album will get a copy of the first System and Station ep "Prospects of Living Daily" The reason this is of any importance you may ask? Well turns out there are only 10 copies left of the ep and after that its gone so there you have it. All tour dates are posted on the tour page and we are looking forward to seeing everyone out on the road. We have a few new write ups in first coast news and wired magazine as well as a feature in Wilamette Week for the CD Release. We interviewed with Casey Jarman for a couple of hours over more then a couple of drinks and we just want to say thanks to him for taking the interest. till the next......

7/13/2008: I would say we are coming up on the album release pretty quick here. It looks like we have about a month and some change. Time is flying by so fast i can hardly keep up really. What's new: well we have been working on old songs for tour and have quite the arsenal with the new songs and old songs, I believe it is around 20 or 22 songs fo rthe road. It has been a blast re learning some of the older tunes. It's a good feeling when you come back to them and realize you don't dislike them like you thought you did. I suppose it is just time out of mind and stepping back to see things for how they are just as in anything. I would say about 90% of the dates are up and I just added a few new ones to the tour page so take a look and if we are near you come out and bring some friends! We are heading into the studio week after next to record a couple songs for the vinyl release but we have barely had anytime to prepare so it is fly by the seat of your pants time which can be beneficial here and there. In local happenings we are playing with The Life and Times up in Seattle and down here next weekend which we are all looking forward to since that band is bad ass and all. I think that is all I am going to spew out for the moment...more to come

6.24.08: Well here is a new website that I have been working on and I really have no idea what I am doing here so I will just see as I go I suppose. It is kinda fun trying to figure this out though. Maybe I can add it to my repertoire after I get this beast up. We are warming up and learning some new (old) songs for tour so if you want to hear anything just hit us up on myspace or through here.Dogballs! It's hot as hell today.
